About us
Congratulations! the Mustang program has been approved by the Minister of Education and is in the official database as program number 6242. The change begins...
The initiator and advocate of the program is Yossi Osdon, an expert psychologist. In recent years I have
worked in elementary and high schools. Me and my educational staff - principals, educators, counselors and psychologists - have seen the change in the students. Apparently without a guiding hand , they are simply sucked into a smartphone. We are not talking about children from distressed families or with other difficulties. These are completely normative children who are washed up in the stream, who simply do not know how to make wise use of a smartphone
There are obvious problems that we are aware of and that deal with, such as: safe use of theInternet, boycotts, etc,but those are the"small change" because a child who uses hours and hours on a smartphone - even without going into the subject ofcontent - slowlydisconnects from his friends and family. And of course when he needs help who will turn? Will turn to places heis usedto being - tofriends on the Internet and all kinds of forums that will not provide what he needs. Studies have found whatany healthy parent canguess: Lack of parental involvement is the most social factor affecting Internet addiction, and adolescentslacking emotional andpsychological support are at highest risk of developing pathological behavior.
Me and members of the educational teams around the country, who firsthand experienced the impact of the smartphone on thestudents' lives and were unable to remain indifferent to the situation, established this site, develop awareness and make sure that thiswill leadto change in the Ministry of Education. You can already see the buds of change ...Our goal is simple: to make theMinistry of Education build a national program to teach children how to use smartphones wisely. Circulars CEOs are really not thesolution, not even the "Internet safety day" and not even the life skills lessons of the wonderful counselors. We need an orderly plan, for all the schools in the state!
In the meantime, until the Ministry of Education takes matters into its own hands, we independently promote the issue.
